Dark grey, nearly anthracite. This square shaggy rug gives a reading corner or a seating area a calm, modern frame. Mustard or rust cushions look warm against it. Cool.

It is machine-woven in China from polyester, with a cotton back. In a living room with a white sofa it gives a strong contrast, and in a teenager's room it survives gaming sessions, pizza evenings and a lot of sitting on the floor without looking tired or worn.

Vacuum gently without a rotating brush. Blot spills quickly, then let the pile air dry before anyone walks on it again.
