Description
Run a hand over this round jute rug and you feel a dry, slightly coarse texture with plenty of body. The brown is deep and earthy, and a border frames the plain centre.
What is the brown jute circle made of?
The surface is 80% jute and 20% cotton, woven flat by hand in India. A felt backing with PVC nubs sits underneath. Jute is known as the golden fibre because of its sheen. This one has been dyed brown, like several of our Jute Rugs in other colours.
Will a brown circle rug work under my dining table?
Yes. A round shape follows a round top neatly, and the brown gives pale chairs a grounded base, which is why it sits among our Dining Room Rugs. It can just as easily lie by the sofa as one of your lounge rugs. Warm floors are fine too, since it suits underfloor heating. Brown rounds come in several sizes, and our sizing tips show how far the chairs should reach when pulled back.
How do I keep the brown circle clean?
Our cleaning advice says to blot a spill on this brown rug with kitchen roll straight away, so no ring forms. Anything dried on can be scraped off and vacuumed up, and now and then the rug can go over a railing outside to be beaten. With no pile, dust shakes out of the flat weave quickly.
