Soft but not fluffy, the yellow Gabbeh Uni has the springy feel of short wool under bare feet. Its colour is a warm, even yellow.

Laid in front of a sofa, the yellow Uni pulls the seating together when at least the front feet of the sofa and armchairs rest on it. That makes it a cheerful choice among our living room rugs, and in a bedroom it brings some morning colour beside the bed. On laminate or polished boards, slip an underlay beneath.

Underneath that colour is 100% wool, front and back, woven by hand in India. Handmade pieces can differ slightly from the listed size, so measure against the size guide before you order for a lounge or dining room.

Pure wool makes the yellow Uni one of jaloom's wool rugs, and it is happy over underfloor heating.

The care guide recommends beating the yellow Uni from the back occasionally and letting it air. Use scissors on any loose end rather than tugging at it. Dampen a dent from a coffee table lightly and the short wool pile rises back up.
