Beige keeps things easy. The Saturn settles between pale wood, white walls and a green sofa, and as a beige rug it lets other pieces lead.

The low pile lies flat, takes underfloor heating and suits a kitchen, a nursery or the living room. Below a dining table, size it so chairs pushed back still stand on it. Its yarn mixes 85% polypropylene and 15% polyester over a jute backing. Woven in Turkey on Jacquard looms, it has a vintage design with fine, even lines, the look shared by our vintage rugs. With this yarn it also counts as one of our synthetic fibre rugs, and the size guide helps with the format.

Heat is the one thing synthetic yarn dislikes, so keep hot dishes off the beige pile. Brush up any flattened spots, and treat marks the way our care guide describes. Warm water with a squeeze of gentle soap, then a rinse with plain water, is all the Saturn needs.
