Bright mornings in the kitchen show off the Marmar Sultani in Beige nicely. Its faded, worn-in pattern looks right at home next to wooden units and a table with a few crumbs on it. This low pile rug feels lived in from day one. It also suits the dining room and works as one of the Vintage Rugs you can mix with plainer furniture.

Which rooms does the Marmar Sultani Beige suit?

The soft sand tone is easy to live with, so it sits comfortably in a living room, under a sofa and coffee table. Over in the kitchen it works well in front of the units, and for children's rooms it makes a calm choice that doesn't fight with toys. The low pile keeps things simple in children's rooms, where chairs and toys get pushed around. If you'd like a cooler neutral shade, the Grey version of this design is the other option. It has a rectangular shape and is made in several sizes, which our advice on rug sizes helps you narrow down.

Polypropylene, polyester and jute in the Marmar Sultani

Its short surface is 90% polypropylene and 10% polyester, woven on machines in Turkey with a jute backing. That means precise lines in the pattern, with the vintage look coming from the design alone. Like our other synthetic fibre rugs, it takes very little moisture into its fibres. Warm floors are no problem, as this one is suitable over underfloor heating.

Keeping the beige Marmar Sultani clean

Heat is the only real enemy, so keep anything hot well away. Pile that has been pressed flat under a chair leg can be brushed back up, and a vacuum with a brush head is fine on this short pile. For the odd spill, dab with mild soapy water, the way our guide to looking after your rug describes for synthetic pile.
