Thick, soft and bright white, the Linn is a shaggy rug with a pattern worked into its polyester pile.

A rectangle like the Linn goes under a sofa in the living room, at the foot of a bed or beneath a table. Bare feet get a soft landing in the bedroom, which is why it sits with our bedroom rugs. Children's rooms suit it too. The pile is 100% polyester on a jute backing, machine woven in Turkey, and like all our synthetic fibre rugs the Linn can lie over underfloor heating. Mark the space with masking tape and pick a size with our sizing tips.

Spills on the white Linn stay on the surface for a moment, so blot them quickly and use as little water as possible. Heat is the only real worry, as our cleaning advice notes, so keep hot pans and irons away. Clean it with a vacuum whose rotating brush is switched off.
