White squares on a white ground can look clean and calm, which is why the Enya suits a lounge where people sit on the floor with a coffee. This shaggy rug has a check pattern with crisp lines, since it is woven on machines (jacquard) and the pattern comes out even. It sits in our Checked Rugs range, for anyone who likes pattern without much colour.

Soft, colourfast polyester makes up 100% of the Enya's pile, with a jute backing. Rectangular and made in Turkey, it suits a bedroom or a nursery as well as a living room. Underfloor heating is no problem. Its soft polyester pile puts the Enya alongside our Synthetic Fibre Rugs.

Spills sit on the fibre for a while, so you have time to blot, and the white Enya needs only a little water after that. Our rug care tips recommend combing the high pile with a wide-toothed comb so it doesn't mat. Vacuum without the rotating brush.
