The blue Gabbeh is 100% wool in the pile, with a wool back, and wool is a natural fibre from the sheep. It was woven by hand in India and keeps a short pile. Next to our other wool rugs it is one of the brighter colours, and among the bedroom rugs it gives a bedside spot some life. Over underfloor heating it lies well, and in a bedroom it makes a soft landing beside the bed.

If juice goes over, blot it with a light cloth from the edge inwards and don't rub. Turn the circle now and then and keep it on a slightly smaller underlay, as our care guide explains. Small spots only need a light cloth and a little lukewarm water.
