Light grey with a gentle shimmer, the Ava runner looks almost silvery where daylight hits it. Up close the colour is calm and even. Seen from the front door, this hallway runner reads as one long, pale line.

Short pile keeps the light grey Ava low, so it lies flat along a hall. Kitchens suit it as well, laid in front of the worktops where you stand to cook. It can go over underfloor heating. Choose a length with our advice on rug sizes so the runner stops short of doors and corners.

Underneath the shimmer is 100% viscose on a cotton backing, a fibre that loses strength when it gets wet. This viscose rug was woven by hand in India and sits alongside our other Viscose Rugs. Handwork means the length can differ slightly from what is stated, which is normal for a hand woven rug.

Water can leave rings or dull patches on viscose, so stubborn stains on the grey runner are a job for a professional cleaner. Use low suction along the pile, as our care guide recommends, and leave the carpet beater in the cupboard. No brushing either.
