Run your hand along the black Eddy and you notice how soft the polyester pile feels underfoot. The check pattern is bold but tidy, so this hallway runner holds its own in a narrow space without crowding it.

• 100% polyester pile, jute backing
• Machine woven in Turkey
• Shaggy, high pile
• Runner shape
• Fine over underfloor heating

A long, narrow rug like this one works well beside a bed. Black with a check pattern also makes a calm backdrop in a bedroom or nursery. For a very long or winding hall, two matching runners laid end to end look better than one stretched too far, and our sizing advice for finding the right fit helps you plan the lengths. The Eddy also comes in beige and white, and this black version sits with our Runner Rugs for halls and bedsides.

Keeping the black Eddy tidy

Liquid does not sink in straight away, so you have time to blot a spill, and only a little water is needed afterwards. Our notes on looking after your rug suggest combing the black runner's long pile so it doesn't mat and brushing flattened patches against the pile. Vacuum without the rotating brush.
