Run a hand over the green Breeze and your fingers disappear into it. Although it is shaped like a hallway runner, this shaggy rug feels most at home beside the bed, where its soft polyester pile meets bare feet.

Green Breeze runner in polyester and cotton

The pile is 100% polyester and sits on a cotton backing, woven by machine in China. Very finely spun polyester goes by the name microfibre. Like our other synthetic fibre rugs, the green Breeze can lie over underfloor heating.

A green runner for bedrooms and kids' rooms

As with all jaloom's runner rugs, the Breeze is long and narrow, so it fits along one side of a bed. In a kids' room it gives a soft strip to sit on with a book, and as a nursery rug it brings a bit of garden colour into a plain room. Keeping the green Breeze runner soft

Switch off the rotating brush when you vacuum, and comb the pile now and then with a wide-toothed comb so it doesn't mat. Turn the runner round every so often and use as little water as possible on spills, as the care guide explains for shaggy pile. Green Breeze runners stay put on smooth floors with a non-slip underlay cut slightly smaller than the runner itself.
