Red is a brave choice for a narrow space, and it pays off. The Breeze in red is a hallway runner with a deep, fluffy shaggy pile that softens the walk from front door to kitchen. Put it beside a bed and it gives a bedroom a warm spot to step onto. It also makes a cheerful nursery rug for little feet.

Machine-woven in China, the pile is 100% polyester with a cotton back, the fibre used in many of our Synthetic Fibre Rugs, and the surface is plain red. It's suitable for use with underfloor heating, so it's fine over a heated hallway floor. It comes in several sizes, and finding the right fit is easier once you've taped out the floor with masking tape. Kids' rooms suit it well too. Polyester barely takes in moisture, so there's time to blot a splash before it settles. Vacuum without the rotating brush, and brush flattened patches against the grain if the pile looks squashed. Go easy with water on the red pile, as our cleaning advice recommends.
