Blue all over, in one plain colour. The Breeze Round in blue is a plain circle of deep, soft shaggy pile, and that single colour does a lot of the work. Dark furniture stands out against it, pale furniture looks calm, and a round rug like this breaks up a room full of straight lines.

Step onto it and you'll notice the pile first: long, dense and cushiony underfoot. It suits a spot where you actually sit or play, so a reading corner, the floor beside a bed or a nursery all make sense. It also suits a living room corner that needs a bit of softness, and it works just as well in a bedroom or a kids' room.

The pile is 100% polyester. Spun very fine, polyester is what's known as microfibre, and that is why this shaggy rug feels so soft against bare feet. The backing is cotton, and the whole thing is machine-woven in China, so the weave looks consistent. It's also suitable for use over underfloor heating.

Blue isn't your only option. The same design also comes in beige, cream, dark brown, dark grey and green, all with the soft polyester pile of our synthetic rugs. A circle can be tricky to place, so finding the right fit is worth a minute before you order.

To keep the pile fluffy, vacuum without a rotating brush and run a wide-toothed comb through it now and then so it doesn't mat, as our rug care guide recommends. A non-slip pad cut slightly smaller than the rug stops it creeping about.
