Deep red, no pattern, and a pile that looks as if someone has just run their fingers through it. The Breeze Red is a plain, saturated circle that lets the rest of the room stay quiet around it. If you want something round that does the talking on its own, this is it.

The pile is 100% polyester on a cotton back, woven by machine in China. That gives the colour an even depth from edge to edge. It's a high-pile shaggy rug, so it feels soft underfoot. Polyester is colourfast too, which matters with a red this strong. It's also fine over underfloor heating.

A circle changes how a room reads. Put it in front of an armchair in the lounge and it makes a reading corner. Under a bed, pulled out to the sides, it softens the straight lines of the frame and gives you something soft to step onto. In a nursery or play corner, a round shape works as a play island. Vacuum without a rotating brush, and use our cleaning advice for spills, which sit on the polyester for a while so you can blot them away. If the pile flattens where a chair has stood, comb the pile out so it doesn't mat, and brush flat patches up against the lie.
