Turquoise ornaments, washed out as if by years of sunlight, run across the Yuri. The faded vintage look softens the colour, so it reads as fresh rather than loud.

A rectangle in turquoise pairs well with a sofa, a bed or a dining table. This low pile rug suits kitchens and children's rooms as well, and you'll see it among our living room rugs. Jacquard looms weave the Yuri, keeping its faded lines precise. Its pile is polypropylene, which makes it one of our synthetic fibre rugs. Work out the space first and then turn to choosing the right size.

Spills wait on the turquoise pile for a moment, which is the first lesson in how to clean your rug. Polypropylene only really minds heat. With a coffee spill, press kitchen paper onto it, then sponge the spot with mild soapy water and rinse with a clean damp cloth.
