This white square rug is made from polypropylene, a synthetic fibre that soaks up hardly any water. The Eddy has a pattern of crisp checks, and the fibre is dyed right through. It is machine woven in Turkey with a jute backing, and the pile is 100% polypropylene, long and shaggy.

A square shape suits a square room. It also works in a corner where you want to mark out a zone. Placed in a living room it looks neat, with the sofa and armchair sitting on its edges. It works well beside a bed, or as a play area in a nursery, which is why the white square sits among our Kids Room Rugs as well as our Synthetic Fibre Rugs. Underfloor heating is fine with this one, and our sizing tips will help you pick the right fit.

Polypropylene soaks up hardly any water, so a spill sits on the surface and you have time to blot it with a cloth. Comb the high pile of the square Eddy now and then so it doesn't mat, as our guide to looking after your rug recommends. Vacuum without the rotating brush.
