Picture a sunny corner of the living room, a coffee on the floor beside you and bare feet on a flat, tightly woven surface. This beige check sits in a circle, so it softens a room full of straight lines. As a round rug it also looks good under a small dining table.

Because this circle rug is woven on a jacquard machine, the lines of the check come out crisp and the squares stay even across the whole surface. Our guide to looking after your rug explains the details, but the short version is simple: the polypropylene soaks up hardly any water, so a spill gives you time to blot it. A brush vacuum is fine on this short flat weave, and only heat, such as a hot pan, can harm the surface.
