What is the Deja made of, and where does it come from?

The pile is 100% polypropylene on a jute backing. It was machine-woven in Turkey on a jacquard loom, which is how the pattern keeps such crisp lines and an even look from edge to edge. Polypropylene makes it a synthetic fibre rug, and it's a flatweave, so the surface is smooth and close to the floor.

Can it go outside as well as in the lounge?

Yes. This is an in- and outdoor design, so it suits the living room just as well as a spot under the lounge furniture on a terrace. Keep hot pans and irons well away from it, as polypropylene doesn't like heat. Underfloor heating is fine.

How should I look after the cream Deja?

Light colours show crumbs, so a regular vacuum keeps it fresh, and a brush-head vacuum is fine on a flatweave. Should the pile get flattened, brush the spot back up. A gentle clean with a little washing-up liquid in water deals with most marks. Blot with clean water afterwards.
