Bedrooms and lounges with white walls take light grey easily, and the Holly brings it to the floor with a high-low pattern in the short pile.

Microfibre polyester forms 100% of that pile, handwoven in India on a cotton backing, so the size can vary slightly. It belongs to our Synthetic Fibre Rugs and works as a low pile rug in a kitchen or a nursery too. Use the size guide to match it to a sofa, a bed or a dining table. On smooth floors, add an underlay. Placed before the sofa in a living room it looks calm, and in a children's room it gives a soft spot for floor play.

Liquids stay on top for a moment, so blot them quickly. Then sponge the spot with water and a little gentle soap, and dab once more with clear water, as our guide on how to clean your rug shows. Light grey edges stay flat with an anti-slip mat cut just inside them.
