Silky in green brings a calm patch of colour to a lounge, a bedroom or a nursery. Hand-tufted and plain, it is an uncluttered choice for the living room, and it suits the bedroom too, where the first step out of bed lands on something soft, much like the rest of our Bedroom Rugs.

Silky is made from 100% polyester microfibre, tufted by hand in India onto a cotton backing. Depending on the light and the direction of the pile, the green looks a shade lighter or darker as you walk past, which is just how a hand-tufted surface behaves. It works well in a child's room too, since the shaggy pile is deep and soft to sit on. Fine microfibre feels gentle on bare skin, and it is suitable for underfloor heating. Its polyester microfibre puts the green Silky with our Synthetic Fibre Rugs.

Spills sit on the fibre for a while, so blot first and use only a little water on the green pile. The how to clean your rug page recommends combing the high pile so it doesn't mat and brushing flattened patches against the pile. Vacuum without the rotating brush.
