Blue is an easy colour to live with, and the Silky in blue suits a pale grey sofa, a white bedroom or a nursery painted in soft tones. Round in shape, it sits like a small pool of colour on the floor, and straight-sided neighbours such as a sofa or a bookcase look a little less stiff beside it.

The surface is a plain, single colour with a soft, fine feel underfoot. Depending on the light and the direction the pile lies, the blue looks slightly paler or deeper, which keeps a plain rug from looking flat. You can tuck it beside an armchair as a reading spot, or lay it in the middle of the room.

Our Silky is spun from fine polyester microfibre, then tufted by hand in India onto a cotton backing. The whole rug is handmade, with a deep, shaggy pile. Handmade rugs can differ slightly from the stated size. Underfloor heating is fine here too, so it can stay in place through the winter.
