Soft peach makes the Holly Round an easy fit among our kids room rugs, and in a nursery it gives small children a calm spot for floor play on cold mornings. Lounges benefit too, since the circle breaks up straight lines. Beneath a round dining table the circle simply follows the shape of the top.

Woven by hand in India, this round rug has a short pile of 100% polyester microfibre, the fine yarn behind many of our synthetic fibre rugs, set on a cotton backing. Warp and weft build up the high-low effect. Raised and lower areas give the peach surface a gentle relief under bare feet, and homes with underfloor heating can use it too.

Our care guide confirms that a vacuum with a brush head is fine on a short pile like the Holly's. Heat is the one real problem, so keep hot pans and irons well away. Flattened spots lift again with a soft brush through the fine microfibre.
