Description
Grey marl wool next to a black iron bed, white bedding and a chunky knitted throw looks relaxed and lived in. The mottled grey Sina runner picks up the grey of a knit or a linen cushion without matching it exactly.
Mottled grey Sina, tufted by hand
Wool makes up 100% of the pile, on a cotton backing, and each runner is hand-tufted in India. Crimp in the fibre leaves tiny pockets of air between the strands. With that, this runner is one of our wool rugs with a low, even pile.
The grey marl runner from bedside to hall
Beside the bed it gives bare feet a warm landing, and it sits among our bedroom rugs for exactly that reason. Along a hall it frames the walk to the door. Leave a little floor showing at the walls and before each door so nothing catches when it swings open, and keep that gap in mind when choosing the right size. Warm floors are no problem, since it suits underfloor heating.
Caring for the grey marl Sina runner
Regular vacuuming, part of our rug care tips for new wool, takes care of the loose fibres it sheds at first. Snip any yarn end that sticks out with scissors. If a bedside table has left a dent, dampen the spot lightly and the wool will usually rise again.
