Plain red, finished with short fringes at each end. That is the whole look of this Kelim Chindi Uni runner, and in a bedroom or kitchen it brings plenty of colour on its own. A strip of red beside the bed or in front of the worktop adds a clear splash of colour to a plain room. The same design also comes in white, beige, blue, brown, yellow and grey, all made the same way as our other cotton rugs.

This cotton rug is woven by hand on a loom in India, and both the face and the backing are 100% cotton. Flat-woven cotton is light and easy to move, so the runner is simple to lift and shake out. It works as a hallway runner or a kitchen runner, and it also suits a child's room. It is suitable for underfloor heating. Plan the length with our advice on rug sizes. Beside a bed, the red makes a warm first step in the morning and sits well with our other bedroom rugs.

The Kelim Chindi Uni is machine washable at 30 °C, washed on its own. Shake it out, vacuum it lightly and dab small marks with cold water and a mild cleaner, as set out in our rug care tips. Once it is washed, let it dry flat and keep it out of the tumble dryer.
