This cotton round rug is 100% cotton in the pile, and the backing is cotton too. It was woven by hand in India on a handloom, using strips cut from leftover textiles, so the spread of colour shifts a little from one rug to the next. That is how Chindi is made. Looking after the light grey Kelim Chindi

This is the one cotton rug that may go in the washing machine at 30 °C, provided you follow the steps for looking after your rug. Give it a cycle to itself, then lay it flat to dry. If a drop of juice lands on it, dab it with cold water and a little mild soap, then leave it to dry fully.
