Runner Rug 80x200 cm
Two metres is exactly the length of a bed. So an 80 x 200 cm runner rug (about 2ft 7in x 6ft 7in) often lies along the side of the bed, but just as often in front of a short run of kitchen units or in a small entrance hall. This selection includes every runner up to 200 cm long, which means 60 x 180, 70 x 200 and 75 x 200 cm as well. Only some measure exactly 80 x 200 cm.
Bedside 80x200 Runners
Your first step in the morning lands on something soft instead of a cold floor. A double bed usually gets two runners, one on each side. In exactly 80 x 200 cm there are hand-knotted wool runners with oriental patterns and a low pile. Softer and thicker are the gabbeh-style runners with a fuller pile, which come in 75 x 200 cm.
Between bed and wall, 60 to 70 cm of width is often enough. Jute and sisal-look runners aren't available in 80 x 200 cm. Both come in 70 x 200 cm, though.
Kitchen and Hallway
By a short run of units, a flat pile matters so cupboard doors swing freely. The indoor and outdoor runner rug in 80 x 200 cm is made from polypropylene, absorbs hardly any water and dries quickly. It works on the balcony or by the front door too. For cooking areas there is a separate selection of kitchen runners. If spills by the hob are a daily thing, our washable rugs are worth comparing as well.
