Viscose gives the Noah its soft sheen, and the polyester blended in gives the surface a smooth, even look. As a low pile rug, it lets the beige read as a calm, slightly faded tone with a vintage-style pattern woven into it. The beige is soft and neutral, so it sits quietly beside most furniture colours.

Power-loomed in Turkey on a jute backing, the Noah has crisp pattern lines and a very regular finish. That faded vintage look is part of the pattern. Fibres are 50% viscose and 50% polyester, so the Noah is a synthetic fibre rug with a natural sheen.

A flat, short surface suits rooms where chairs get pushed about and small feet run across the floor. Beige works well in the living room, where it softens the space, and it suits a children's room just as well. In the dining area, chairs slide over a low surface without catching. The Noah is also fine over underfloor heating.

The rectangular shape follows a sofa or a table. Pull the sofa's front feet onto the rug and the whole seating area starts to look like one group. When something spills on the Noah, there is time to blot it, because liquid stays on top of the fibre for a while. Dab with a little mild soapy water and then with clean water, as our care guide advises. Heat is the one thing to avoid, so keep hot pans away from the pile.
