As a wool rug, it has the springy feel that comes from crimped fibres, and the knots are tied one by one, so the fringe at each end is simply the ends of the warp threads. Looking after the Bidjar Herati in Cream

Fibres may come loose at first, and regular vacuuming settles that. Leave any stray thread alone and snip it level with scissors instead of pulling it. Following our cleaning advice, blot spills with a light cloth, working inwards from the edge. Where furniture has left a dent, dampen the spot slightly and the wool usually lifts back. Vacuum it regularly and give it the odd turn so that sunlight and foot traffic are spread evenly.
