Description
A deep red ground and a fine pattern give the Tabriz Mahi runner the look of a classic oriental rug in a long, narrow form.
The red runner beside the bed or in the hall
Laid next to the bed, it gives you warm wool for the first step of the day. In a hallway it frames the path, with a little floor left showing before doors so they swing freely. The pile has a direction, so the red looks lighter from one end and richer from the other. Heated floors are fine. Measure the hall or the bedside first, and choosing the right size becomes simple.
Hand-knotted red wool from India
Every knot was tied by hand in India, with 100% handspun wool for the pile and wool for the foundation too. Handspun yarn looks a little irregular, and small shifts in shade are part of that. Since it is handmade, the runner can differ slightly from the listed size. With its Persian-style pattern it is one of our Oriental Rugs, and the yarn makes it a natural fit among Wool Rugs.
Keeping the red wool fresh
Following our rug care tips, turn the red runner round from time to time so sun and footsteps are shared out evenly. Beat it from the back now and then and let it air. Where a chest or a bed leg has left a dent, dampen the wool lightly and it will usually rise again.
