Dining room, kitchen or lounge: this beige rug is made for the rooms where chairs scrape, crumbs fall and the door to the garden gets opened a lot. It is one of our flatweave rugs, woven by hand in India, with a pattern that stays calm enough to sit under a table without taking over.

Can the beige one really go outside as well?

Yes. It is an outdoor rug as much as an indoor one, so a covered terrace works just as well as the kitchen floor. Plenty of people like to keep one set of colours running from the patio table to the dining table. Because the weave is flat, pulling a chair out to sit down is easy, which is why the beige design also sits among our Kitchen Rugs.

What is the weave made of?

Warp and weft are woven together by hand, and they form both the pattern and the structure you can feel under your fingers. Recycled PET is the source of its 100% polyester yarn, and the backing is polyester too. That puts it with the other Synthetic Fibre Rugs, which are a good choice when you want colour that holds. If you are choosing for the living room, the dining room or the kitchen, pick a size so the chairs still stand on the rug when pushed back, and the size guide shows how to measure up. We also have it in grey and orange.

How do I deal with spills and dirt?

Drinks do not soak in straight away, so there is time to grab a cloth and blot. Anything left behind can be eased out with lukewarm water and a little gentle detergent, then dabbed with a clean damp cloth. Heat is the one thing to keep away from this beige rug, so no hot pans, please. Crumbs and hair come off the flat beige weave easily, as our page on looking after your rug explains. Easy enough.
