Light green sits somewhere between fresh grass and soft sage, which makes this one of the easier colours to live with. It works with white walls, pale oak and a cream sofa, and it takes a dark floor from heavy to bright. The pile is 100% polyester made from recycled PET, with a polyester backing, and the rug is handwoven in India. Because it is a flatweave, crumbs and hairs lift off easily, and a chair pushed back from the table stays on the rug. It works in the living room as well, and since it is suitable for outdoor use too, it can move onto a terrace in summer. Underfloor heating is fine.

Spills stay on the surface for a moment, so you can blot them before they sink in. A brush vacuum is fine on a flatweave like this. Put a non-slip pad slightly smaller than the rug underneath, as described in our care guide, and the corners stay flat. Keep heat away from it, as that is the only real problem.
