Peach is a soft, warm shade that sits happily between neutrals and bolder colours. Think pale walls, a grey sofa or oak furniture, where a hint of pink-orange lifts things without taking over. Like other flatweave rugs, this rectangular design has a pattern woven across the surface rather than printed on.

The yarn is 100% polyester, spun from recycled PET, and the backing is polyester too. Hand weaving on a loom in India gives it a flat surface with no pile. Polyester is a synthetic fibre that takes up very little moisture, which helps by the back door.

Because it is flat, crumbs and hairs are easy to remove. That also suits a kitchen rug, where you want something easy to look after. If you're looking for something for the kitchen that copes with daily footsteps, our Kitchen Rugs sit alongside this one. Fine over underfloor heating, it works under a dining table as well as in the kitchen.

This one is made for indoor and outdoor use. It works as a dining room rug under the table, and equally well as an outdoor rug under your garden seating. Placed in a lounge, a rug like this one can anchor a seating area. This rug comes in several sizes, and our guide to choosing the right size will help you decide. Beige and grey versions are available too.

Spills sit on the fibre for a while, so you have time to blot them, then go over the spot with water and a drop of mild washing-up liquid and dab with clean water. For everything else, looking after your rug is mostly a matter of regular vacuuming, and a brush will lift any flattened patches. Only heat is a problem, so keep hot pans away from the Peach.
