This Deja has a face of 100% polypropylene on a jute back, woven by machine in Turkey. Polypropylene is a synthetic fibre dyed right through, and it takes up hardly any water. The rug is suitable for outdoor use as well as indoors. For a patio or a covered balcony an outdoor rug like this one makes sense, since the synthetic fibre copes with damp.

Where the Deja runner earns its place

Think of a kitchen runner in front of the worktop, where you stand for ages while the kettle boils. The flat weave keeps the surface even underfoot. Down a hallway it frames the walk from the front door; leave a little bare floor at the walls and in front of doors so they swing clear. The Deja is also suitable for use with underfloor heating. Keeping the cream Deja runner clean

Spilt coffee stays on the surface for a while, so blot it with a cloth, then go over the mark with a cloth wrung out in mildly soapy water. A brush-roll vacuum is fine on this short, flat surface, and a brush lifts any flattened patches. Keep hot pans away, because heat is the one thing polypropylene dislikes.
