Cream is a calm colour for a narrow space, and the Deja hallway runner uses it well. The pale ground carries a woven pattern that reads softly rather than busy, so it sits happily beside white walls, oak boards or darker tiles. Put it in front of the kitchen units and it brightens the whole row.

This cream runner has a 100% polypropylene pile, woven on machines in Turkey with a jute backing. Polypropylene is a synthetic fibre that is dyed right through, so the cream stays even, and it takes up hardly any water. That is why this synthetic fibre runner is made for both inside and out.

Machine weaving gives the pattern crisp, precise lines, and the flat weave keeps the surface low. Chair legs and trolley wheels roll across it with ease, which suits the kitchen. With underfloor heating below, it suits a kitchen floor in winter too.
