Three metres, close to 10ft across. A 300cm round rug covers just over 7 square metres, enough for a large round table for eight or a curved sofa in an open-plan room.
Six designs come at this diameter, in wool, jute and synthetic fibres.
In an open-plan living room
Leave about 30 cm of floor all round. The room needs at least 3.60 m at its narrowest point, or the edge rides up the skirting board.
A 300cm round rug under a large table
With 60 cm spare on each side, a 300cm round rug takes a round table up to 180 cm across. The chairs stay on it. The flatter the rug, the easier they slide, which is why Nele and Nala in jute work well here.
For bare feet
Gabbeh Uni is warm, dense wool in many colours. Breeze and Eddy are machine-woven shaggy designs. Holly Zen, handwoven in microfibre, carries a raised pattern in cream or grey. Pale shades are on our cream rug page.
Getting it home
It arrives rolled. Leave a little space on the stairs to turn, and unroll it flat in the room a day before you move the furniture back. If three metres is too much, the 250cm round rug is a step down, the 200cm round rug suits a table for four, the 160cm round rug a reading corner, and the 100cm round rug the bedside. All circles are on round rugs.
