Cream Rugs
Cream sits between white and beige. Lighter than beige and warmer than pure white, it has a slight yellow undertone that loves wooden floors and warm light. Some people call it off-white. Around 60 designs come in this shade, rectangular and round, plus runners, and a few are two-tone with brown or light grey.
Cream rug, white or beige?
Even paler shades are among our white rugs. Sandier tones come with a beige rug, cooler ones with a taupe rug. Beige and cream rugs in the same room work well as long as one of them has texture. Jute, for instance.

Cream viscose shines beautifully in a bedroom. As a runner, viscose or tufted wool brings light into a dark hallway. Soft wool in many more colours is among our wool rugs. Outdoors? The shade works there too, in polypropylene or recycled PET.
Where does cream look good?
Next to oak and rattan, and beside sofas in grey or cognac. A cream rug in the living room under a dark wooden table makes a strong contrast, under a pale one hardly any. Both can look lovely. Sizes and layouts for the sofa area are on the rugs for the living room page. Elongated seating areas suit a 170x240 rug, square rooms a rug 250x250.
A large cream rug brightens a room with little daylight without feeling cold. Round, the pale shade gives a reading corner a calm centre.
Living with a pale rug
Delicate? A little. A light rug shows stains sooner than a dark one. Blot liquid at once rather than rubbing, and keep viscose and jute as dry as possible. Short pile is easy to vacuum. With children or a dog, the two-tone cream and grey or cream and brown designs are the more relaxed choice, because the pattern swallows small marks.
Frequently asked questions
Do you have cream rugs in round?
Yes, in the wool blend and in viscose, plus polypropylene and the sisal look. The largest round ones measure Ø 240 cm.
Is cream easier to live with than white?
A little. The warm undertone shows light wear less, and the two-tone designs hide even more.
Which material feels softest?
Wool. The blend has more pile than the tufted wool.
