Description
Kitchens with a long run of units have one strip of floor that gets walked on all day. The beige Nala lies right there. Used as a kitchen runner, it covers the path in front of the worktop and puts something warmer than tiles under your feet.
Where the beige Nala runner works
Beyond the kitchen, its shape makes it a hallway runner too. Long or angled corridors often look better with two matching runners than with one, and the Nala can be laid as a pair. Mark the route out with masking tape before choosing the right size, leaving floor clear at both ends. Narrow and long, it sits with jaloom's runner rugs. A beige rug like this goes with white, wood or dark painted cupboards.
The Nala in beige jute
The Nala is 100% jute, front and back, handwoven in India. Jute is grown as a renewable crop, and the fibre breaks down naturally at the end of its life. Like all jaloom's jute rugs, this jute rug can go over underfloor heating. Handwoven runners can vary slightly from their stated size.
Keeping the beige Nala runner clean
Keep the beige Nala dry, as described in how to clean your rug, and vacuum it without the brush and without steam. Soak up a splash from the sink with kitchen roll straight away, so it doesn't leave a ring. Dried-on sauce on the Nala is scraped off gently, then vacuumed up.
