Light brown sits easily beside cream linen, dark leather or a rattan chair, and the Lindo carries that warm tone through a soft vintage pattern. As one of our living room rugs it lies in front of the sofa, though a kitchen or a kids' room suits it just as well.

Its short pile mixes 85% polypropylene with 15% polyester on a jute backing, machine-woven in Turkey on Jacquard looms for clean, even lines. Synthetic fibres take up very little moisture. That puts this low pile rug among our synthetic fibre rugs, and underfloor heating is no issue.

Spills give you a little time, because liquid stays on the surface of the light brown Lindo before it sinks in. On smooth floors, lay an underlay a little smaller than the rug beneath it, as our page on how to clean your rug recommends. A standard vacuum with its brush head is all it needs.
