Yellow wakes up a room that gets little sun. The Mala brings a faded, vintage yellow to the floor and sits happily next to grey sofas, white kitchen units or navy bedding.

Underfoot it is a low pile rug, and underfloor heating below it is fine. It makes a cheerful kitchen rug, while a nursery or a dining room suits it just as well. The yarn is 100% polypropylene, coloured in the mass, so it soaks up hardly any water. Jacquard looms in Turkey weave the yellow design with crisp edges, on a jute backing. Its worn effect comes from the pattern itself, as with our other vintage rugs, and the polypropylene pile places the Mala among our synthetic fibre rugs.

Our care guide has you dab marks on the Mala with a little mild detergent in water, then go over them with clean water. Only heat really bothers polypropylene. Flattened spots in its low pile brush back up easily.
