Sometimes the timing is simply right. The design you wanted is reduced, and the size you need is still there. Every design whose price has been lowered and which is in stock lands in our rug sale, currently around 490 of them. Buying a reduced rug here doesn't mean compromising on material or on how it is made.
The range goes from handwoven wool to flat kilims and easy-care synthetic fibre. Synthetic fibre is the largest group, followed by wool. Rectangular sizes make up about half, alongside 131 runners and almost 100 round rugs. Beige and cream appear most often, then grey.
The page updates itself. When a design is reduced, it appears here. When the reduction ends, it disappears again. The offers can therefore change from week to week, and the current price is always shown on the product itself, together with the colours and sizes available in the reduced version.
Rug sale, not clearance
Many people think of clearance as a separate shop for leftover stock. Ours works differently. These are reduced designs from the current range, so material, construction and pile height are listed in the product details just as they are everywhere else. Only the price has dropped.
Handwoven wool with a fuller pile turns up regularly, also round or as a runner. More wool designs, at the regular price too, are among our wool rugs. Flat, plain cotton kilims are often included. So is the sisal look in 80 % jute and 20 % cotton, which suits a hall or a study where the surface should be firm. Pure jute, mostly in beige, appears as well.
Reduced rugs by room
A reduced rug makes sense where it has to take a lot or will only stay for a while. In a child's room taste changes faster than the weave ages. A plain kilim is enough for a guest room. In the hall, cheap rugs and runners catch street dirt before it spreads through the home.
For a first flat of your own, a sale rug is an easy way to make an empty room feel lived in. Renting, and might move in two years? Then you probably won't want to spend much on a size that may not fit the next place.
In front of the sink or under the dining table, synthetic fibre is practical because it absorbs little moisture. Runners are especially plentiful, from 60 x 180 cm beside the bed to 80 x 400 cm for long halls. Flexible on colour? Then the choice is widest. Got a fixed shade in mind? Check back more often, because the offers keep changing.
The sizes you will see most are 120 x 170, 160 x 230, 80 x 150 and 200 x 290 cm. Plenty of people want 200 x 300 cm for a seating group. Round rugs in the sale often measure Ø 120 or Ø 200 cm, and the full choice is among our round rugs. Square and oval shapes are rarer, so a bit of patience helps.
Before buying, a tape measure helps more than gut feeling. Check these points:
- measure the free floor, including the sofa feet for a seating area
- compare the pile height with the gap under your doors
- match the material to the room, for example synthetic fibre for kitchen and hall
- look on the product page to see which sizes are available in the reduced colour
